Old Montres Rolex 1401

I am a newbie trying to find information on this old watch my dad bought (non working) many years ago. I would like to know if it would be worth restoring, sold for parts, or traded.

It is a ladies white gold, 14K, 17 Jewel Montres Rolex model 1401. In my searching of the internet I have not seen anything similar. It has an octagonal case. The serial number is 647655, which doesn't seem to match any of the serial number guides of Rolex I have found. It is missing the stem and the band is a cheap replacement. I have found some model 1400 movements on ebay but I have not found a similar case. Any guidance would be appreciated. Sorry for the cruddy photos.
