I`ll go by the list here for now which is : Korea 410,413..Japan 900

You will note there is only one number for Japan.

Do you wish to supply any proof that 410 is the country code number for Japan, not Korea?

I do not deal in Asia so I cannot find a Korean Rolex with the 410 code.Your link to the Yahoo listing does not convince me of anything other than to show me a picture of a watch with a warranty card with the 410 on it.

The onus of proof for the authenticity of the watch lies with the seller not the buyer.I remain unconvinced.

I remind you,it is the right of the potential buyer to question the seller.

Another website showing a picture of a warranty card with the 410 on it and a picture of unknown origin with insufficient resolution for me to determine very much with any certainty except of course that the number 410 is legible.

At this point I will assume that for the sake of $11,000 you are prepared to carry on posting more of your "proof' all day long and into the night if need be,so let me make this clear, the kind of proof I am looking for is corroborating, third party, evidence from someone without any interest in the sale of your watch.

Perhaps someone else on this forum with experience in Asia could give an opinion and provide some independant information for clarification?

You will note that to date no one has weighed in to lend support on this question.

I also note that you provide no references and have no record of previous sales on this forum.

Once again, the burden of proof lies with the seller not the buyer.

If there was a problem with your post you would have heard from a moderator by now I would think.

Your watch has been for sale since August of last year so it would appear that all here are in agreement with you.

It would appear that the list of country codes posted here on TRF contains an error regarding the correct codes for Korea and the lack of the 410 code for Japan.

I hope someone here can correct this oversight on the TRF list, a correction that I`m sure will please Christopher chak.

Thank you for the info Edward Arthur.

Not necessarily an oversite; this just goes to show that all you read on the internet shouldn't be taken as gospel. In researching several websites that post this type of data I came across a couple that didn't list 410 and one that listed it as Korea. So who's right -- only Rolex knows for sure.

I suspect that all is OK with this particular LV.

I believe nothing of what I read on the internet until I can get further corroborating evidence or testimony from independant uninterested sources.

In the case of this LV I`d want to be extra carefull considering that the seller is placing rather a high amount on the collector value of the piece,in my opinion about 50% of the total asking price and for that amount I would expect the seller to answer all my questions to my complete satisfaction.

Thanks again for the info.
