"He said I cant wait to pay till he gets home to take more pics for me"
If the cant is can't (can not) I'd be very leery. Why would a few hours or even a few days make that much diference to a legit seller?

Why don't you do as a member suggested and ask him for more pics that shows he has the watch with him (e.g. put today's date, his ebay name and a certain time on the watch suggested by you) - all macro, high resolution shots?

Let us know how it gets on.

Shouldn't the words on the back of the watch be black or does the color fade with wear ?

How does one scratch a bracelet that bad? What does the case look like? From the pics this watch
has had a rough life.

IMO unless the price is really good - Run Forest Run!

If price is good, buy it. The bracelet has some marks and looks a bit stretched, but would look fine if refinished and buff the case. At least with this watch you wouldnt be afraid to use it!

look the guy has met all your requests if the price is right, go for it. It looks fine to me (not the most experienced in buying used watches off ebay)

That would need to be real cheap you make it worth buying.

It was $4150 and that looks way high for an SD in this condition???

I'd like a side shot to check the bezel.

It's 4,000 now. Do you really think its a poor value because of the scratches on the bracelet? It comes with everything and had never been polished. I felt pretty confident with the bracelet work myself. I was just worried that it wasn't a fake, and the only thing I worried about at this point was the wording engraved on the rear of the watch, it doesn't look black.

Does the normal dark black color wording on the back ever wear off ? Or is this just bad pictures ?

The pictures are not great but it does look original (albeit lived in) from what can be seen. I agree with other sellers re suspicions due to lack of pictures.

Is the crown right? Hard to see (again) but it looks as if it is sheer, without the crown logo.

No it has the crown and three dots. He told me he took the watch to a reputable jeweler and gave me the web site to contact them. I talked to the Jewler today. He confirmed the authenticity of the papers/watch and that the serial numbers matched, but would not give a estimate about its condition except that he told me there is nothing glaringly obvious bad.

It seems to be what they have claimed it to be from the beginning. A watch worn for a few years then no longer worn and left in a safe deposit box and then after a divorce neither the mother who gave it or the father who got it want it.
