Deepsea wrist advice

After picking up the deepsea my AD removed two links. The current setup has 4 links + the divers extension on top and 5 on the bottom. After wearing the watch for one full week my wrist slightly hurts. The watch sits a little towards the left side of my wrist. Would you recommend removing the divers extension and having the links put back in? Any possibilities the band is out of balance with the deletion of the two links / glidelock position?

Perhaps flip-flopping will help. Try 5 links on the 12 o'clock & 4 links on the 6 o'clock.

The DSSD is seriously top heavy so you may want to wear it tighter rather than looser. Sometimes it takes a bit of fiddling around swapping links from side to side and clasp adjustment to get a watch to fit just right.

As mentioned, change some links from one side to the other and see what works best for you.....

I have four plus diver's and four. Fits better than any watch I've owned.

Jedinite, if you remove it do you still have the adjustment in the glide lock? Do y'all wear it with the adjustment out, part of the way or in with all the links?

Glidelock works and adjust it to fit your wrist

First of all I would try adjusting the clasp, it is amazing... if this does not get you the desired fir I would remove the divers extension and replace with the link/s and re adjust the clasp. I know when I owned the DSSD I had to play around with it a bit but once I got the perfect fit it was amazing

I wear my DSSD a bit loose, just like all my Oysters, and it fits just fine.

I wore my DSSD every day for over 2 years and while I loved the watch and in general thought it was extremely comfortable, I would be a liar if I said it NEVER bothered me. I clearly remember a few episodes (probably not more than 3) where the watch started to bother my wrist ever so slightly. I don't really know what it was (probably due to the thickness/weight of the watch head) and it usually went away after a few days, but I definitely remember a slight 'stressed feeling' (pain was on the top of my wrist where the hand rotates).

Now that I think about it, the last episode is probably what helped to push me to buy the new SubC (I knew the thinner case of the Sub wouldn't be an issue as I never experienced the stressed feeling wearing my 16610's).

Not to be a downer, but I'm now at over 2 yrs of constant SubC wear and NEVER experienced the same issue. That's probably one of the reasons I'm considering letting my DSSD go...I just can't go back to it after my SubC (which is crazy since I love larger watches). Hope you have better luck than I.

Just adjust the slide on the clasp to fit your wrist!
Sometimes I wear mine a bit looser than other days.
Depends on the climate too!

Your stupid Rolex dealer adjusted it wrong, it should be 5 links on the 12 o'clock & 4 links on the 6 o'clock. I have a 7 inch wrist and it fit just right.

I diasgree. I have 7" wrists and have 4 links at 12 and 5 links at six and the watch sits perfectly centrally, both case and clasp.

I also disagree about the extension - I've removed mine and replaced it with the two spare links and it sits a lot better. With that set up and my wrist the two spare links are slid fully into the clasp for a perfect normal snug fit but on a warm day I just let one or two clicks out and its perfect again.

Guess the fit must depend upon wrist shape as well as girth!

Anyway do you have a Deep Sea - it says Casio on your bio?

I took out the divers extension and it fits perfect. Weirdly sometimes i like it tight so adjust the glidelock other times I loosen it off.

I love the clasp its fantastic. Infact im gonna miss my deepsea. Going snowboarding tomorrow and decided to wear my pam for the week as Its had little to no wrist time since i purchased it in November!

Agree with removing the diver link made a tremendous difference in fit for me.

Really? Maybe if you owned it instead of owed it it would help you feel better about the DSSD. So many "sad" memories? I'm sure it was too big, too tall etc.
To bad the biggest baddest watch Rolex makes wasn't right for you.

A little off topic, but what's all this talk about "Removing the diver extension"? Are there any divers out there anymore? I haven't dove a whole lot with my DSSD (not because I don't want to...but work and a toddler pretty much take up all my time these days), but I would never even consider removing the DIVER link on my DIVING watch.

The few dives it's been on the link was critical (no way it would have gone over my wetsuit without it...gotta love SoCal "warm" diving). The last thing I want to do is mess with my watch & tools, putting on and taking off the link before & after the dive! Give me a break...

I didn't remove any links. Through-out the day my wrist swells a little. I just move the glide lock out one notch. It's nice. It will always fit and never have to keep up with links.

I removed two links. The watch was WAY too big, even with the glide lock in its tightest position. Now it's perfect. My wrist swells a bit during the course of a day. I just adjust the glide lock now. I love it. I wouldn't want to remove the divers extension. It would defeat the purpose of the watch. Kind of like removing its soul...

I use the dive extension on mine regularly. But then again, I use mine for a bottom timer when I dive. Most don't get theirs wet.

Why do some people like to be mean when someone makes a typo instead of just moving on and letting it go.....
