Where is Rolex's COSC certificate?
Why a COSC certified watch like Rolex doesn't come with its CERTIFICATE when we purchase the Rolex watch? Why institute of COSC of Swiss wanna keep it instead of giving it to us? Can we request it from Rolex of Swiss?

You can request it but you won't get it Daniel.
I only represents the testing of the bare movement and proves that it is capable of meeting the COSC standard. The important thing is how it runs on YOUR wrist IMO.

The European Din standard for chronometers are to a higher standard than the Swiss COSC standard below is the copy of the German Din certificate for my Dreadnought watch,a Timefactors watch that cost then just £400 as you can see +0.4 seconds a day,not bad for a so called humble ETA 2824-T2 movement, less than half a second a day and still the same today after several years of hard wearing.

Theorhetically, Rolex could not print "chronometer" on the dial if the movement was not COSC certified.
I always pretty much thought my certificate was printed on the dial. |

Besides you can't wear a piece of paper, and typically all my stuff besides the watch just gets stored away in the closet anyways.

I got mine from Omega for my PO. Looks cool, but can't understand some of it. It's just cool to have. I had to contact Omega by email, provide my proof of purchase, blah blah, pay them $100, now it sits in my closet. So, unless you just really want it to show it to everybody, don't waste your money.

For the same reason that some pay for things like plastic bezel protectors, case back stickers, hang tags, boxes etc they must have more money than sense.

Other brands do...
... provide a copy of it. I'm thinking about Breitling since I own one which came with some sort of certificate from COSC (can't access the box right now). It has also 'chronometer' printed on the dial. As useless as having the certificate is, I think it would be a nice detail from the marketing point of view.

The little maroon hangtag is from CSOC. However, CSOC is nothing more than a marketing ploy.

What led me to buy this watch is that I refused to give my business to Rolex because of their "can't have this" "can't have that", strong-arming their customers with the take it or leave it attitude. So I put my $4K on this watch and I got th COSC certificate. Here is what it looks like. I am keeping all my Rolexes but not buying anything new from Rolex ever-- but am buying two more of these behemoths....
