Vacation planned. oh YES!!!!

so I am getting out of here for 1 month of vacation. I leave Kabul on Feb 24th and will spend a few days in Dubai to wash the filfth off.

My wife and I are going to Hong Kong on Feb 27th - March 4th to pick up my new IWC from the flagship store there. I can not wait.

From Hong Kong we are going to Bangkok to visit some friends we will be there for about 10 days.

We get back to Dubai on March 14th in the morning. AND I do not have to be back to Afghanistan until March 25th

SO from the 14th - the 25th we are trying to come up with something to do, These are our choices as of now.
Stay in Dubai
Stay in Abu Dhabi
Fly to London to see family
Fly to Houston to see family.

While I am in HK I am not sure where we will stay, any ideas or thoughts???

Oh, By the way, I am leaning towards London :) My BNIB V serial SeaDweller 4000 is there.

Sounds like a real nice vacation.

Congrats on your new Sea Dweller, great pickup.

Which IWC are you getting if you don't mind me asking?

I have traveled through that Terminal about 12-15 times and I LOVE looking. Sometimes they have nice discounts going on as well.

Thanks,
I am picking up a now discontinued Stainless Steel Ingenieur 3227-01. Outside of my Platty and My (never seen by my eyes) SD 4000, This is my Fav non Rolex. Because of its hard lines I notice the used market 3227's have some wear on them. I found this one brand new, HK IWC store does not ship as it is a mecca for discontinued watches. I only hope I can get out of there with only that 1 watch. My wife will be with me so I am sure she will keep me focused. I also have ordered the Kevlar strap to go with it as well. That strap on that watch is amazing.

We have also decided to go to London, My wife has a brand new Nephew to say hello to. And my SD is there, I will post some pics of my new pair ASAP.

I found a photo of the Kevlar strap. This is not mine, found it online. The strap is textured and it matches the texture of the dial on this IWC. It is pretty nice, When I get mine I will take some nice photos to show the features.

Thank you kind sir.

My internet service provider over here is getting so slow. It is a satellite shot out of Hong Kong and If I find the office in HK I will go ask for a speed bump.

That watch looks amazing with this band Stephen, I'm sure it will fit you very well! Enjoy your trip and have a lot of fun with your wife and friends!

My Service is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. It is something that requires no thanks from anyone, But Thank You. We all volunteer you know. hahaha

Thanks Carl, I can't wait to get in on and post some wrist shots for you guys/and gals. However, I think the part I am most looking forward to is being with Mrs. Ross and getting out of this cold weather. HK and especially Bangkok should be MUCH warmer than Kabul.

Twelve / "12" / One-Two

That is how many days I have remaining until I am OUTTA HERE.

It has been between 0 and 9 degrees Fahrenheit here in Kabul and we have had about 20 inches of snow in the past 2 weeks. CRAZY for Kabul. I can not wait to get out of here.

IWC and Sea Dweller 4000 - HERE I COME!!!!!!!!

Anyone in Dubai, Hong Kong, Bangkok, or London?
