The serial number should be located betwween the lugs at the 6 o'clock position and the model number is located between the lugs at the 12 o'clock position.
If you could identify the seriaal number and provide it with the first 4 digits and use x's to represent the rest of the numbers then we should have a better idea.

I dont have the watch yet and contacted seller about ser# and havent heard back as of yet. Its a 1505 and looks like ser # starts with a 5 or a 6.

I'm no expert but it looks like it's an Oyster Date from the late 70's early 80's.

If everything works as it should, $1200 seems like a pretty solid deal. I actually like that bezel a lot, too.

Anyone have a link to look for a nice black strap for this? What would you guys recommend for this watch besides a bracelet? What would make this bezel and watch pop? Im thinking a nice thin black leather strap not sure the design?

That is a very nice looking oyster perpetual date. Much nicer and IMHO a better deal than the other watches you were looking at. I believe that is called an "engine turned bezel" and it looks great on that watch. The dial looks to be original as well.
The watch should be 14k bezel on the watch head and 14k center links on an oyster bracelet. It clearly qualifies as "vintage" with an acrylic crystal and a date wheel with open "9" and "6". A 5mm to 7mm serial number would put the watch somewhere between approximately late 1976 and very early 1982. Congrats
