LOL! Well said Larry! I got a call yesterday from an AD telling me there had been a "mistake" with the 116710 and 500 had been released with the ll dial.

The original colors

I really have no idea as to how many of each. My view is it's just a difference in font.

My receipt from the RSC says my GMTII is a 16710LN with black insert. What is "LN" if "B" is black?

Both are good prices so you're OK there.
I agree, it's possible the RED/BLUE may have been NOS, hence the difference.

He says "double middle chains"....

I wonder if he means that the Pepsi is a old NOS with a Jubilee bracelet? If that's what it was, I'd have jumped on it.

Right or wrong, the Pepsi with Jubilee is my favorite GMT.

Indeed, the GMT with the jubilee is a beautifull watch, and the only sport model to have been equipped with the jubilee.

Ok if I read it correctly, I know which one I should buy, the one with the misprinted dial!!!
As they are original Rolex they would fetch a lot of money in time??? That would mean a seperate version of which only 500 exist?

Who knows? It might be something to a collector some day. The thing I always think about is how does an AD know how many of a given dial were made? Rolex is so tight lipped about everything.
I've seen TT 116710s with the ll dial font.
The things that drive collectors crazy! LOL!

It's unlikely there are any "misprints". These dials are available all over the world.

Hannes photos are from Europe, My GMT came from an East Coast dealer, and there are others on this forum with them..

But as has been said...who can say in a decade or so... There are certainly fewer of the ll than the II. but the claim that there are only a few hundred is ridiculous..

Well, Altair, you may be sure of one thing: you didn't go wrong, your watch is fantastic! I hope you are successful in "sorting out" your AD, as Welch said, but congradulations on a great GMT! Great photos, too, BTW. Beautiful chess set!

Thats it, is the Pepsi with junilee a particularly good value at 3900 USD?

I just might buy a couple and sit on them.

If the Pepsi is new in the box, I'd say you are right on track at 3900. Wish I could find one NIB like that here! The jubilee is very sharp on GMT. There is a time and place and place for everything, including solid 18K watches and ones with what is considered "bling". However, almost every single GMT goes with anything, anytime! ALL of them are great!

3900 USD is a steal for a BNIB 16710. I am sure it was either used or he made a mistake the first time you went

Can anyone recommend the best way to purchase a jubilee braclet for the 16710?
