It's not easy being green

This forum is so addictive.

Just wanted to know if any fellow LV owners have had difficulty matching their garments to their watches?

After forking out for a new timepiece, I think I'm going to have to acquire some new crisp white shirts and green hued ties to suit my new accessory.

In addition to the above, what do you guys do about cufflinks?

Just putting on my cufflinks Saturday with the new LV, alarm bells rung - possible scratch hazard!

I'm all for buying a Rolex to wear but I don't want to scratch it for the sake of it.

Nearly all my shirts feature a double cuff so I think I'm going to have to go with the silk knot effect.

Any ideas?

I never really thought of it, even though the LV is next in my front sights.

I've seen the watch and noticed that the colour--like the colour in the GMT Pepsi--changes quite a bit depending on the ambient light.

As such, in some clothing arrangements, it would stand out, in others, it would blend.

Can never go wrong with a white shirt, it would always work, as would black.

Best,

C

I just say my Rolex matches my birthday suit. Perfect in every way. ;-)

The thought has never crossed my mind, since I find I can't wear anything wrong fashion-wise when a Rolex is on my wrist.

Funny you mention that

The green bezel was one of my biggest fears before aqquiring the Kermit. I also try to avoid cufflinks for that purpose unless the occasion calls for it. I usually wear my LV with white, grey and black shirts. The LV really pops nicely. I usually don't wear a suit though -- just a button down and slacks, sometimes a coat.

I was concerned when I first bought mine, but I no longer worry about it. The green bezel does stand out and does look unique but I don't think it looks out of place regardless of what you are wearing. That's just my opinion. I've seen Casio G-Shocks and Timex Ironman watches worn with business suits and in my opinion that looks far worse. Plus, it's Rolex. I wear long sleeve shirts everyday for work so most of the time the watch is hidden. As far a cuff links, I would also worry about the scratch factor.

If you wear a long sleeve shirt, it's going to cover the LV anyways.

I wear mostly Lacoste shirts in all different colors and so my LV matches the green croc on the shirt.
