If I remember rightly, this one had me reaching for the sick bucket rather than the tissues.

Nicholas Sparks. The King of Sappy and Sentimental. But, I think his books can resonate with different people depending on where they are in their emotional lives. Many years ago I found one of his books emotionally touching (based upon where I was at that time in my life), some years later I found the same book and another I tried to read as corny, sappy and overly sentimental.

I try to stay away from Nicholas Sparks ever since seeing Nights In Rodanthe . . . one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

Isn't that weird...me too. I could see a million men killed in a movie...kill a dog or a horse and I'm a wreck.
