From a geek background, sometimes a full restore (rebuild) not from back up can be helpfull as the backup you might be restoring could be corrupt and therefore the issue will again occur. I know you might think this is a copout answer, however, it does help remove any setting that was there that was causing the problem by performing a full system rebuild. In this case as you said no crash in two days. That is a good thing!
