What do you guys think of this watch? MV is popular in racing circles in Europe... not so much in the US.

This watch has 4 independent mechanical movements for 4 time zones. Racing-inspired 48mm monolithic titanium case reminiscent of a 4-valve motorcycle piston.

Being a car/bike guy, I love this watch. I find the aesthetics to be spot-on for a watch that looks machined for speed.

Anyhow, I've been ogling them for years, but never bit, because I'm certain buying one means $2k+ down the drain.

Anyone else know anything about this watch? Thoughts?

I think servicing would be a pain as you require 4 movements serviced. But if you need 4 time zones then this is your watch.

I need tri or dual time zones which my GMT II covers to a T. I travel/work in areas where there will be no cell service so no good looking at my phone...

If your worried about $ down the drain spend it on a pre owned GMT II, will cost a little more but it won't be $ down the drain.

Well, I just ordered one, in spec silver. This whole series was discontinued, so it was hard to find one BNIB (though I got it at a pretty nice discount!) Will have to post incoming pics when it arrives!

Nice! I love mechanical oddities! I think the Quattro Valvole is supposed to represent 4 valves per cylinder, but riding a square-four wearing one of these would be too cool.

Congratulations on your acquisition Steve, I must say it's not really my type (to answer your first question) but it most probably is useful and if you like it it's all that matters!

By the way, I'd be curious to see some wrist shots of that watch! Don't you think the date window would be a very tad small?

Got to be one of the most interesting models I've seen in a long time. It must be beast on the wrist-- 48mm by about 25mm thick?
