Shaving! I ditched the $$$$$ Cartridges!

Can I get a recommendation on a shave brush? I'd like to keep it under $50. The Art of Shaving has a number of them, but their prices are really high.

Look for a badger brush. They generally are better than boar brushes. Any such brush will do for routine shaving. The first few times you use it, the brush will smell like a sweaty badger, but that goes away quickly.

I've been shaving in the shower since I began shaving. The steam from the hot water loosens the beard. Apply a small amount( the size of a dime) of gel shave cream(I use whatever is on sale) & shave with a Gillette custom disposable. I get about 5 shaves on one razor. Try it..It's a great shave.

I have a Geo F Trumper stubby badger shaving brush, had it for about 10 years, I also use their shaving cream and after shave, tis well worth a visit for a shave at one of their shops in London if one is ever there.

Unfortunately the Geo's are quite expensive for anyone outside of the UK (if i recall correctly).

These days, its a tube of proraso/omega shaving soap that does the job.
