New Explorer ll 42mm
Anyone know if the bezel on the new Exp 2 is aluminum or SS? The edge polish suggests Stainless Steel, but other bezels in the Rolex line are said to be aluminum, and I was curious.
Searched first, but was told I am not privy to those threads...? |

Good question, but I believe that it is 904L along with the rest of the watch. The way my bezel looks, it has the same consistency/shine/ability to scratch as the rest of the watch. The polished edge is one of the nicest aspects that I see on the Exp II. I think that if this were aluminum, the bezel would pop off easier and get dinged easier than the watch case, which I have not see happen. This bezel seems to behave the same as other stainless bezels on Rolex sport watches. -Sheldon

Its 904L. Aluminum was used as the bezel inserts of the last generation of professional models before Ceramic.
