I just received back my GMT 16710 from RSC (Overhaul) and i found out that the hour hand is slighly off alignment, i can accept that but when i adjust the jumping hour hand to others hour it like off alignment around 1 min away from center. Is it normal or i should send it back for adjustment?

Is it a easy job to adjust just the hand alignment or it need to dismantle the whole movement to adjust just the hour and GMT hand?

I don't think that's normal and you shouldn't have to put up with it, either.

Is there a qualified local, if you'd have to send it off to the RSC, who can look at it and maybe do an adjustment under warranty?

Which hour hand ??

Typically, when you have the minute hand at 12, and the hour hand at 6, they should form a straight line.. however, the 24 hr hand will not align with everything except at 24:00 hrs.. All three hands should point to 12 at that time..

The movement has to come out of the watch to re-align the hands, but it's not too time consuming for a good watchmaker.. If they didn't put it back together right, then they should fix it..

I would agree this should be a rather easy fix and I would not put up with it either.

Any watchmaker should be ale to set that right in under an hour including waterproof testing.

What i meant was when i adjust the time to 6 o'clock the min hand is at 12, the hour hand is slighly (half mm) off 6 marker and the GMT red hand also slighly (half mm) off 9 (18:00) o'clock marker. When i pull out 1 click to adjust the jumping hour hand and turn 2 hours back the hour hand is about 1cm away from the 4 o'click marker.

Hope i did not confused you guys.

Yes it will still bother the sh8t outta me! So please get it fixed!

If it wasn't assembled correctly then I would have them address and fix the problem.

An easy fix--send it back. For the money you pay you should be 100% satisfied and it should be 100% perfect!

Brought my watch to RSC and told the counter girl what happen and she bring it in to the technician, 10 min later the technician came out and told me there are nothing wrong with the watch alignment and is normal.

1. He adjust the min hand forward and backward till the hour hand pointed at center marker.

2. He adjust the the jumping hour hand forward and backward and is still off center marker BUT he say this is due to the free play gap, the hour hand will be back to center on the next marker after the min hand made a 60 min trun.

Do you guys agree with what the RSC technician say ?

If all three hands don't point to midnight when turned it's wrong. There shouldn't be as much play as the tech is describing.

Ask to speak to a Manager make sure they fix it.
