I don't wear cologne often, but when I do, it's Canali. Although I do remember those High Karate ads from TV from the "old" days!

Acqua di Gio - it's light and not overpowering, and reminds me of my mornings spent reading the paper on the beach on HHI.

I don't wear cologne per se. My deoderant is Eton from Taylors of Old Bond Street, and my shaving cream and aftershave gel are Sandlewood, also from Taylors of Old Bond Street.
Ironically, Taylor's is actually on Jermyn Street, one block off Picadilly.

Polo Sport is awesome! I personally haven't tried any of the others you mentioned. I have Sheer Obsession (which my hubby goes nuts for) and Origins Ginger Essence, which is nice in the summertime. Check out http://luckyscent.com for some great but uncommon fragrances. I've ordered many samples from them trying to find a new fragrance. |

I actually got Polo Sport as a substitute for Hilfiger Atheletic, which is now out of production (I'm busy eBaying whatever remaining stock I can find ). The Hilfiger is similar to Polo Sport, but with a more pronounced citrus scent. Davidoff Echo is an interesting scent - it's got a metallic topnote. The next one I'm looking at is Essenza Di Zegna Summer.

Nothing except "Sure" Deodorant for me. I can't stand overpowering odors. If I'm in a meeting with a guy with colonge on it makes me think, "Wow, that guy must be late for a shower or he has BO."

I think that for men especially, less is more when it comes to cologne. One thing that drives me crazy is when shaking hands with a guy (this happens at mass a lot during the sign of peace), my hand returns covered in a masculine smelling cologne!

I hear ya, although I do think people of both sexes are guilty of mistaking perfume with air freshener.
