I think that new Sky Dweller is a great watchmaking achievement, it has really nice movement etc., but IMHO it`s design is somewhat unbalanced. Cyclops and inner GMT ring just don`t go very well together IMHO. But overall, I think that Sky Dweller is
I must say (and I really don`t hate ANY watch) that I`m close to hate these new jeweled Daytonas. I really don`t like their looks, so for me it`s And about Sub C ND, it`s a winner, as expected. Also YM with blue dial, my personal favorite from this year`s presentation However, it would be unfair not to mention two absolute favorites of mine, Tudor`s Black Bay and Pelagos! Both of them have that vintage-inspired looks, very successfully implemented with modern specifications. I simply can`t wait to see them in person. |

This is 2012 and Rolex doesn't have to tailor to men and women anymore. There are the transgendered population, the gay community, the lesbian community. The spectrum of the typical consumer have been expanding every year since these people of the world's population have been given acceptance. It doesn't bother me one bit when a man say they like the diamond encrusted Daytona's or 40mm watch with jewels in it. |

So many angry people in here, being vocal just to be vocal. Nobody is forcing you buy a model you don't like
RE: the rainbow dial - i want to see it in real life, even though it may be something ridiculous none of us would buy, don't tell me you aren't the least bit curious to see it shining under a light

The no-date sub, still iconic. The Datejusts, well if your lifestyle is diamonds and rubies, then it's a dressy addition to your wardrobe. The Daytona, however, is disturbing. When Paul Newman sported one 40 years ago, it was the ultimate tool watch; class and function combined with style. The Daytona's here are more likely to adorn the wrist of a Las Vegas pimp.

I just spoke with a AD who came back from Basel and he told me that the Sky-Dweller is sold out worldwide already. He will be lucky to get one this year. He said that the Rainbow Daytona's are just prototypes. That there are only two in the world and they are going to be in very limited addition. None of us will probably ever see one in our life times. He said that the new Yachtmaster is the most beautiful of all the Yachtmasters.
On another note, he said that Rolex was the only booth in all of Basel where people were smiling. The over all mood in Europe is awful. Business is way off for the Swiss & Italians. He said that he found close outs from manufacturers that never had any before in over 30 years. |

Is it me or do the lugs on all but the Sub look like theyre now in between the classic and new case lugs in size? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me..?

Seems like they did not put any effort while coming up with the name "SKY-DWELLER" . Dweller to me is always the Sea-Dweller , not a Tree-Dweller, Land-Dweller and either a Sky-Dweller.
Starting liking the looks of the watch. |

Gotta love the YM with blue dial. Other than that I still prefer vintage.

I agree with you on this point. The DJII with smooth bezel is crisp and clean.

Sad thing is, just like DD & DDII, Rolex will never make stainless steel Sky Dweller.
