GMT II is Home

I'm back to Washington State. Thanks to Tom's (KansaiVet) discount and lack of salex tax in Oregon, I saved close to $1,000. Spent $45.00 in gas, well worth the drive. The two ladies (Adrianne, the manager) and (Danielle, an associate) were fantastic. Wife asked me if I want to get the GMT IIC from the other AD too. I had to painfully muster all the courage to say no to her. Maybe next time. Overall, it's been a great day, we got our toys. Here are some crappy pics (one of these days I will probably get a more expensive camera and take better pictures). Thanks again, Tom!

Obligatory box shot:

The package:

Close up (sorry for the fingerprints):

Actually, it's a 2-1/12 hour drive each way. Still well worth the savings.

Sounds like a great trip, something for the both of ya. Just curious, what was your out the door price if you don't mind me asking? It's very informative to learn what people are paying for certain watches throughout the country. Enjoy!!!

Awesome! I am so happy for you. Sorry I could not meet up with you. I was in class from 1100 to 1730 today.

Aren't the sales staff great there!?

The classic GMT II is a great watch. My preference is for the black bezel. I am still not sure how I feel about the new style but the classic truly is a classic watch!

In as much as I wanted to meet you in person so I can shake your hand, I understand about your class. Speaking of class, yes the staff are a class act. I was offered something do drink before I even had a chance to introduce myself. Adrienne said you asked her to hold the watch for me. It was not in the display case, she had to get it from the safe. Thanks again!

Good for you Tom, nice thing to do.

GrandDaddy,
Congrats on a true Rolex classic. Just the fact 16710 was produced for so many years is testament to it's credentials. Looks like the wife made out OK as well.
