Tiger finally gets the W!
I know this was a hot topic when Tiger signed with Rolex...but dang it looked good during his press talk after the Big W this week.
Could not exactly tell which model as you could only see the band. Looked pretty good in the light. |

The worst ambassador for Rolex ever. He really represents the brand.

I didn't see it live, but I heard he was wearing a DSSD.

You know...before all you negative posters start jumping on your soap box knocking him, ask yourself " am I the best at my profession in all the world?" Yes... IN ALL THE WORLD as in there are almost 7 BILLION people alive today, where would YOU rank and if the answer is not #1, kindly shut your pie holes about judging Mr.Woods because not a single person here knows what it is like to have walked in his shoes or what it takes to be the single greatest athlete in his sport for 10 years and/or arguably all sports. I imaging if I was the greatest, most successful person in my field, it may swell my ego causing me to make some poor choices as well. Who knows???
I am not saying he is the greatest role model, father, husband or anything other than what he has accomplished on the golf course which is nothing short of spectacular so PLEASE save the bashing because just as likely, many were the same fans who was adoring him two years ago. Give the guy a little slack because he is after all the accolades just a man, who has faults like all of us except he gets to bear them in public which I don't envy but realize it comes with the rest of the package deal. Just my .02C.

Everyone deserves another chance as no one is perfect. Can't say I strongly support him but I know I am not suppose to judge, as there is only one Judge and it's not me.

personally, I have nothing against the guy,
I do not agree with his lifestyle, but I will not point any finger at him, I could honestly say that could've been me if I were in his position ... then again, I dont think I know the whole story and I do applaud the people who were/are against his signing with Rolex, it shows that people still do care about moral, ethics, etc but credit to Tiger for coming back and getting the W, we all deserve some sort of a 2nd chance ... or a 3rd, 4th, etc, within reason of course |

Sorry to everyone else for the rant. Go Tiger. The tour has really needed him the past few years. The tour was there for him. I'm glad he is winning and helping the tour now. |

Ratings prove it, humans watch golf when Tiger is in contention, they don't watch golf when he isn't. The difference is remarkable.

NBC certainly likes Tiger being in contention. Real golfers (IMHO) don't care if he's there and most have enjoyed golf just as much without him.

I'd be willing to bet you've made a mistake or two in your life and were given a second chance. Why shouldn't Tiger be given one? |

I'm glad he won, too.
It takes courage to turn one's life around, especially when that battle if fought in the public eye. Golf is a tough head game, as it is. Imagine what it's like to go out and play when your dirty laundry has been the stuff of headlines. I suspect that there are some skeletons in the closets of his detractors, too.

I don't care for Tiger at all...never have...but golf needs for him to be at the top of his game. I really wish that was not the case, but unfortunately the masses just won't watch when he isn't in contention.

Here's the thing, at this point I don't care if Tiger lose or wins which by definition makes him a questionable brand ambassador. But I'll take my hat off to anyone who wins a sporting event, so good for him!

This is the last thing I'm going to say. Golf doesn't "need" Tiger Woods. The media needs Tiger Woods. There is a difference. There have always been players that have followed Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson. Being a decent human being (or a half-decent human being for that matter) doesn't preclude one from being at the top of one's sport or field. Cheating on one's spouse and children with another or with a double digit field of babes is beyond the scope or slack that I (personally) am willing to accept and I can't wait for someone like a Rory McIlroy to show us what he's made of, be it in golf or life. Integrity, you've either got it or you don't.
