No, though I did buy a couple which were then flipped pretty quickly.

I once ordered a VC "dress" watch advertised as 34mm.

It turned out to be 30mm and looked like a large mole on my wrist.

mine was a gucci watch...... i didnt know what i was thinking ......it seems like a good idea at the time ...

the only good thing from it is that i actually got a decent money from selling it at ebay recently. the model has been discontinued for long but the condition of the watch is still excellent cos i dont wear it much ....and well someone must've wanted it.

never buy a fashion watch

Fake? NO. An Imitation? Yup!

I have almost the same one, It is my daily driver. It has an ETA 2824-2 with sapphire crystal, all for $200. Tell me where else you can get that kind of hardware for that kind of coin?

I have only been complimented on it once (outside of a watch store) and I tell them it is nothing special. I have been complimented on it much by watch guys who cant believe how nice of a watch it is for the price I paid.

Back on topic, Watch I regret buying, this one has the crappy japan movt, it broke in 2 weeks:

Yep ... my first Doxa. Build quality was not there. Although, to be fair, the customer service to resolve the issues was excellent.

That's bad news. I was thinking about getting a Dirk Pitt Edition. I'm a big fan of Clive Cussler's books.

Yeah, this one...

Ok, just kidding. I pity the foo... I'm sure it has it's place but a 10 on the weird-ometer...

Actually, this one comes close to qualifying.

Actually, there's nothing wrong with the watch other than it wears like a wall clock and eats up batteries every 6 months. It was a novelty purchase and I just don't get proper use from it.

This piece of crap.

Being into complications, when I saw this in an inflight magazine, I had to get it. I just should have bet the $200 on the horses. I might have come out ahead.

The Omega PO on black rubber strap has been sitting in my watch case for months now...

I should have held out for the IWC Mark XV Classic I was looking for that day and couldn't find.

You don't like the Omega PO ??????? Black dial on black rubber strap? I can hardly believe it. I have the same watch and love it, wear it all the time. For me it holds its own compared to the nd Sub, even the Glashutte Sport Evolution...Larry.

Just say it ain't so...

Craig,

I've heard via the Doxa Forum on WUS that the SUBs are sorted out now and apparently they've resolved a number of issues since then (the crown, the bezel, etc). Though I cannot vouch for this personally.

Having said that, I will never, ever buy another re-production Doxa. I really disliked the fact that I had problems with both the Pro and the GMT that I bought, over two years apart. That's just not right in terms of quality control.

Not to get into a Doxa-bashing rant, as a lot of people had no issues with theirs - I just seemed to have bad luck with mine. And I honestly do not have a bad taste in my mouth about the company, as they've always treated me well. But more to the point, I have other watches which I want to buy /own / wear more. I also got kind of tired of the huge orange disc on my wrist

Anyway, just some random thoughts.

James

Now that is a sweet timepiece. Absolutely classic and one that I'd love to have on my wrist, one day. Although I love the Mark XVI, as well.

I bought a few Alpha watches with designs akin to Rolex waches. I feel like I am wearing a Folex when I wear them, and so they do not get worn.

It just sits in the drawer getting no love. I'll probably trade it in shortly...

This one, but HAD to buy it when I saw it at a flea market. It has the same fake signs like of one the fake Daytonas in the book "The Rolex Report", but I thought it would be interesting to study it in real life.
