i am a software professional and have to use computer all the time. The clasp of my new rolex seem to scratch against the wrist wrest of my notebook computer. What I can do to avoid the clasp getting scratched? Can I do protective coating on the clasp or use some kind of shield on the wrist rest area of the notebook computer? Are there any computer professionals or laptop users on this forum that would like to share their solutions?

I wear long sleeved shirts which protect my watch. Minus that - I'm guessing one would get quite a few scratches. As long as they are superficial scratches, I wouldn't worry as they will 'buff right out.'

My PO clasp is shiny in one spot from my wrist resting on a desk or laptop keyboard palm rest. As another member mentioned, these are superficial and can be easily buffed out by hand. I have had great success with this so it is possible once every few months to restore the fresh look if it bothers you that much.

Hello..Mcfly..I thought I told you not to wear your watch as it is extremely fragile. HAHA..j/k man.

I desk drive all day long as well. Scratches, yup it's going to happen. Just enjoy. In fact, I roll my sleeves up and really get in there on my computer. As I type this right now while drinking my wine, I am banging my watch against the keyboard and laptop. Sorry, price you pay for owning a nice watch.

Scratches happen. Wear your watch. Don't let it wear you. It's just a watch. The the trouble some go through to keep from putting a few scratches on a watch amazes me. if I worried about any of my possessions that much I'd have an ulcer from using them.

I'm also on my keyboard all day and even at night. The best solution is to let go. Watches will be scratched if worn. It's inevitable and the sooner you accept this fact the better.

A friend of my who has many rolexes doesn't remove some stickers including the one on the clasp. I said, jeez man enjoy your watch. He still doesn't listen.

If you're going to wear the watch, you have to take it in stride. It's not made of glass and believe me, the "need" for your watch to be perfect goes away with time (it did for me).

Scratches don't bother me but when I'm working on my laptop and my watch hits the macpro surface it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me for some reason. I just take my watch off though.
