78200 Question / Discovery

I gents.. I have discovered something interesting today...

I bought a GMTIIC Z Serial for my cousin (thanks Perpetualman88). I also have one for myself (thanks Bodybump). I didnt know that there are big differences in the bracelet. Here are my observations:

Z serial 78200:

There are 13 links total. There are 4 permanent links on both sides and 1 easy link and 4 removable links

Random Serial 78200:

There are 13 links total. There are 3 permanent links on both sides and 1 easy link and 6 removable links.

have you guys noticed or know these changes?

Also, the Z serials center clasp feels smoother than the new randoms...

Its confirmed gents!!!

I have spoken to OCROLEXGUY because he has a G and a Random serial.

From a Z to a G serial it should have 4 permanent links...

All RANDOM should have 3 permanent links. His RANDOM and my RANDOM both have 3 permanent links. So Rolex changed the 78200 in 2011!!!

They added a removable link!

Did you double checked that the bracelet reference is still 78200 ?

I ask that because Rolex did the same with 63200 and 72200 during year 2009, replacing permanent links with removable ones. At this occasion these bracelets became 63600 and 72600.

All bracelets are changing so more links can be removed or halves added becausemore and more women favour the men's models
