Servicing: RSC vs Tourneau
When I purchased my Rolex @ Tourneau I got the Tourneau warranty that includes a free "overhaul" before the 3 year warranty expires. That wasn't the main reason I bought the additional warranty, but would it be best to have it serviced at Tourneau in 3 years after purchase? Some say don't fix it if it ain't broke, just wait til the accuracy is already affected then bring it in. Also would having it serviced at Tourneau affect any future servicing from RSC? Has anyone here have experience with servicing from Tourneau? I'd hate to send it in perfectly fine only to comeback with problems that I would need to extend the 3 year warranty.

I personally see no reason not too take them up on a free service, it should extend the time before you need to pay for one. RSC could care less who works on your watch, they'll work on anything as long as it is authenic.

Exactly!!! They offered it I'd go for it. Very unlikely they will do undue damage to your Rolex. Just one less service needed in the future.

Bought my new Sub there 3 years ago. At about the 2 1/2 tear mark the watch was gaining 8 seconds a day. I was none to pleased and brought it them. It was covered under their 3 year warranty and sent it to their warranty center. About 2 weeks later I got it back, regulated to under 2 seconds a day, cleaned, lubed and pressure tested. I would not hesitate to use them again, but in your case, I wouldnt bother. I would wait for the RSC service time and pay.

My two cents... Stick with RSC. I have ran in to good watch techs at AD's and some not so good. Hit or miss really.

Considering the number of watch guys who get nauseous just from simple interactions at Tourneau locations, I can't say that would inspire my confidence for leaving a cherished timepiece there for service! Go RSC, imho.

I am sure you are really paying for that "free service" with the discount that you did not get at Tourneau.

If you feel lucky you might want to take the chance that a service might actually be of benefit but maybe the service will turn out to be worth what you paid for it,perhaps you`d be better off waiting until your watch deserves a service from a Rolex Service Center.

True, in fact that's more of a reason to get what you already paid good money for.
