Dial and Bezel swap

I have a recent 2 tone submariner with the blue dial and bezel. When I have the watch serviced, I'm thinking about changing the dial and bezel to the standard rolex black (keeping the blue for future swap). I imagine even Rolex will do this because this dial/bezel combo was available from the factory. Any thoughts on how much this might cost as part of a tune up?

Hi. Rolex may or may not do the swap, they are very conservative when it comes to these modifications. If they do it, it is highly likely that they will keep your old dial and bezel and not give it back, leaving you stuck to buy them again if you want to change back.

Wouldn't it be easier to swap watches with someone that has a black TT?

Wouldn't that effectively change the model number ?

I think the ref.# is the same and if true then a dial bezel swap is possible. But that's the key issue for your production year.

Post a pic and the ref.# on your papers so folks can be more precise in an answer.
