Got a PM from JJ?

Got PM from someone sounding/looking like JJ with some posting advice. Seems the idea went something like this.....Bubba you need to set up multiple TRF accounts with different user names (of course), from multiple servers, and then you can start a thread with one identity and use the other identifies to post thousands of replies. His thinking was that my number of posts is kind of wimpy and by using this tactic I should be able to have 35,000 posts in no time. I think I will e-mail that person back and tell them I think this is against TRF's policies. Any advice?

There's no way that was JJ. He doesn't know enough about his own computer, let alone that convoluted process, to send that. BOGUS!!!

Obviously not JJ.

I wouldn't respond. I would just report it and let the Mods handle it.

Which you did, indirectly, when you posted this thread.

Go enjoy your watch and work on those photos!

Congrats again.

That makes zero sense!!! How would creating multiple accounts and using them create thousands of replies? How would you "connect from different servers" ? You connect TO a server, not from it. He might as well have told you to go to your local ISP mall and order an IP pizza

If this is some joke on JJ it is a badley conceived one.

You can actually connect through different (proxy)servers for hiding your true IP address so that you can post with multiple accounts from what appears to be different countries.
You would still have to post things that make sense (if ye see my posts that is not the case but that's a whole different story ).

Maybe JJ's account got cracked?

I wouldn't bother contacting the "troller".

Just wait a while and his brain cell will die of loneliness.

I think my connection is back up and running! I promise to never start a thread after drinking so many beers. After many beers is seems I have a higher opinion of my sense of humor than reality proves. Still enjoying my new YM.
