fake?
im new to rolex and just trying to learn all i can. is there a quick and easy way to tell if the watch is a fake?

It depend on the specimen, but we don't discuss counterfeits on this board, so that's all I'll say, except that if you hang out in the "Watch Out" section, you can learn a lot.

1st welcome to TRF...
This forum is not for discussing fakes.. if you are in a position to buy a rolex from someone that isn't a dealer and you want to check the authenticity. You can post pics here..do not try to pass a fake watch off as real here either..otherwise .you will not get an answer to your question here...
