Plastics on a BNIB watch
Just received a new Rolex and was going to get it sized at an AD. It came BNIB from a trusted seller here on TRF, so I am not at all concerned whether it is authentic or not. However, I do have a question. As I am removing all the plastics, bezel protector, etc, I tried to take off plastic from the face of the watch, but I couldn't get one off. Does plastic come on the face of a brand new watch? Just curious. I rubbed the face of this one compared to my other Rolex and it does feel a bit "filmy." I don't want to keep trying to pull something off that doesn't exist... ha ha. Ideas? Thanks.

I have never had a BNIB Rolex with a sticker on the crystal itself.

Nope! Just give it a good wash with soap/water and you'll be good to go.

No, new Rolex's don't come from the factory with a protective plastic on the glass. Maybe a plastic bezel protector, but not on the face unless the AD has put wrapped their own plastic on it, in which case it'd be obvious. Just give it a wash and you should be fine!

Unfortunately, Rolex watches do not come with this feature.

Just us moderate pressure using 80 grit sand paper and it'll come right of the crystal.

I love this forum. So many helpful people on here. Thanks for all the info and good to know there is no film on the crystal; saves me from trying to pick something off that is not there

When i bought my 16610 about 6 years ago it came with a clear face sticker. I think, but maybe wrong.
Anyway, that is a beautiful looking watch

Congrats. Don't worry. You will find stickers for 6 months. I don't know how Rolex does it but they put stickers everywhere but the crystal. I rink if I opened the case back I'd find stickers on the mvt. LOL
