Could anyone tell me how to pull the links apart from a rolex presidend band. I am referring to the links without the screws. I have been told that they can be removed and replaced with new ones.

The links without screws CAN be removed, but that would be a job for the RSC or Rolex-trained watch maker. I would not mess with it myself, if I were you.
