My new SS Daytona

Has been eyeing the SS DAytona ever since I saw it.

Dint want to pay the US$13k my local AD was asking.
After 5 months of search, and not being able to get on any waiting list. Finally managed to walk into an AD with an SS Daytona. Got it a couple of weeks ago.

My first rolex. Loving it. Serial Z8XXXXX, no hologram.

Heres a couple of pics.

ADs in Singapore

I actually think ADs in Singapore pool together their SS Daytonas and sell them at a premium. Cant be sure if thats how they work but Current asking price is around US$13k. If you pay this price.. You can get it immediately.

They work this way in certain asian countries... including Malaysia. Was over in Japan a couple of months back... the ADs were asking for more than US$13k.

yeah they keep SS daytona watches in the safe.......waiting for a BIG catch willing to pay their inflated asking price....

same thing is happening to the 116710......and ready to happen with the milgauss very soon............

Supply and demand dictates business practice. If it works for them, thats what you will have to pay.Its up to the buyer to decide whether he/she is a willing buyer at an inflated price or whether better timing may lead to a discount.116710 will be discounted when its old news. Its one to be a little bit patient on.Alas,ss Daytona and Milgauss may always be premiumnised ....

Thanks everyone.
Beginning to check the time more often, whenever I have the watch on. ekekek..
Enjoying it.

And regarding the premiums, its market forces I suppose. But I guess most people prefer not to pay premiums, besides, searching for a watch is pretty fun and makes acquiring it that little sweeter.
Shall go hunt for a Milgauss soon.
