I would buy the best example you can find, K series should have a SEL bracelet they made lugholes and SELS for a short time around that time. Here's mine and Dan Pierce has one as well. Earlier GMT's would have lugholes but not SEL bracelets.

It's matter of preference and most of the time I don't notice much difference.
The SEL is indeed a preference of mine as well.

It is personal preference. I like the clean look of the non-lug holes (don't throw anything at me please).
Midway in production of P serial number watches the solid end link (SEL) bracelets came in, they continued through the end of production M serial. Lug holes went away mid way through Y series. So some P, all K, and some Y have lug holes and SEL.
