I Think I Have Cause To Be Upset
I recently purchased another Rolex TT DJ .. The seconds hand fell off once it arrived, and I sent it back for repair .. The watch was returned to me today and I wore it all day .. I looked at my watch after dinner, and the seconds hand is off and floating around the dial .. At this point I am in a ba dmood, and I dont want to send it away for a repair .. Looks like I will have to eat the cost and take it to a local AD to have it fixed .. I get upset when someone takes something of mine for repair and dosnt fix it right the first time.

That stinks but I'm wondering if there could be an underlying issue with your watch. Hope it's fixed correctly soon.

That sucks, was it a random seller or a regular?
I feel your pain, I just got one from a regular member here and the damn crystal was scratched, despite it being advertised as 100% perfect. Guy offered a refund, but I couldn't return it due to exchange rates and shipping costs wiping out the benefit. |

Was it under warranty? I would think the seller would be responsible.

Sounds like the second hand hole is reamed and won't stay on the pinion.

Sorry to hear about this, I wouldn't be happy either. However it does sound like there is an issue with the seconds hand as Mike suggested.
The only thing to do is to call whomever thought they had fixed your watch the first time and move forward from here. Did you send this to RSC or was it someone else who susposedly fixed your watch?

It should be a quick fix. It's either the second hand or second pinion. Probably easiest to just get a new one to replace the defective part.

I'm with Mike and more likely a new second hand with the correct hole size will fix this. The original repair was probably just to push it on harder which was never going to be a long term fix.
Pain in the butt though.

To the OP, you prolly saved a bundle on the watch already so this might be a quick fix and modest cost.

Man, if that happened to me, the seller or repair guy would get it from me.
You are a better man for holding it. |
