6105 Bubble Back

i have a 1952? datejust bubble back the movement is stamped 26993, i think this is the caliber? Is this the correct movement for this watch?

thanks I will try and get some photographs. The number is stamped inside and the back is definately a 6105.

Does it have a date?

it may be a Big Bubbleback or the so called Ovettone?

Yes it has a date the first 20 are red and the remainder are black

the strap is marked 7206 its and elasticated bracelet.

Movements have a serial number that is independent from the case serial number.

From your photo, it is the serial number visible at the lower left..

Neither one.. You need to look between the lugs under the bracelet for the case serial number. Using that number, one of the many charts, including one in our Reference Library, will give you an approximation of it's date..

A better date will be stamped inside the caseback.. such as II62 for the second quarter of 1962 which is the rough era I would place this example..

Hello Tools,

I managed to get the bracelet off the watch and has this stamped between the lugs.

At the 12 oclock end "Modele Dispose 6105"
at the 6 oclock end is 857612.

I checked the charts and this would suggest 1952?
There are no marks inside the case on the back it's only stamped 6105 and 84/VI.
