Im still a virgin, whith AP-watches. what AP, take your virginity?
I have 3 AP´s that im looking, to buy. wish do you think, would be a good, first-time-AP-watch?!
1. .AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Offshore Scuba "Boutique Edition" Ltd 300 pcs 2.Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Ref. nr. 25940SK original. 3. the orginal AP roal oak 39 mm, white dial. My cup of tea, would be the AP-divers watch, whith a AP, braclet?! Need some help, from you AP-lovers out there! Give me some tips, or send some pictures, of any of the above AP-watches, if you have them, so i can compare them. PS. I have only tried a AP, on my wrist ones before - and it was a orginal AP divers watch. I loved it. Thanks! best regards John |

Any AP collection needs a 15202 Jumbo or a 15300. The Diver could also be great by adding the SS bracelet.

But i love the divers watch, on a steel braclet. the price would be almost double the price, comparing to the 15300 AP-watch. The only negative about the, 15300 is, that its only waterproof to 50 meters. thats why im willing to pay, double the price, for the AP-divers watch, so i dont have take it of, when im taking a shower etc, if you get my point?! thanks for the pics, its a beauty! best regards John |

You bath in 50m of water?? The 15300 will take any challenge you throw at it. It sounds to me like you want a Diver so get the one you want. |

The diver is awesome and you can't go wrong with it. A metal bracelet changes the feels and appearance of the watch. I only wear my Diver on a metal bracelet.
But before you make a decision you should try on more pieces. |

My first was the 15300. My second the Diver.
Looks like your first should be the Diver. |

I have tried the diver, on a rubberband - and it felt like, nothing i have tried before. The AP-diver that i wanna buy, has a red-light-collor inside the watch. just a reminder, that its not a "real" diver, i have heard?! Even if the diver is double the price of a 15300, i think it will be a good, deal - in the long time. best regards John |

Sounds like you're leaning toward the Diver. Don't sacrifice for another watch thinking it will be flipped down the road for the one you want. Patience truly is a virtue in watch collecting.

My first was actually an ROO Blue Scuba... Sold it, regret it out of any other watch sale ... Now they are so hard to come by and i still lust after one !
I have a Rubber Clad that gets hardly any wear now a day's. IMO? Go with what sings to you, ROO Panda have you checked out? If you want classic/classy, 15300 blue or white dial for sure, so beautiful. |

Thanks for all the, good feedback, you guys!
And thats true; i dont have to sell my appartment, i hope?! Im also looking for a PVD/DLC-coated AP. And there is twoo ones, that i have found intersting. The first one is: AP royal oak offshore las vegas strip limited 400 pieces. Ref Number: 26186SN.OO.D101CR.01 the other one is, the famous roal oak "bumble bee" Ref Number: 26176FO.OO.D101CR.01. But, think that the AP-scuba "boutique edition" - the red one, is the one for me, whith a steel braclet. But the other twoo PVD AP, watches is not bad... not bad at all! you all have a nice day, night or evning! John |

In terms of what should be your first AP, I think you should just go with which watch speaks to you when you wear it. There is no rule on which AP you should get first.
For me, the 44mm ROOs spoke to me as well as the millenary 4101s, and I went with the 44mm models, this was my first one. I will say this.... I told myself one AP... I'm already at two, and a third one is coming in a couple weeks, so yeah, it becomes an addiction.

However it sounds like you've got some thinking to do as these models (15300, Scuba, Vegas, Bee) are all very different. |

Just to mantion one thing, The price of the AP, bumble bee, is the same as buying a rolex daytona, whitegold, just saying. But, i only live ones, so why not, take the chanse of buying the more weird-looking AP, watch, instead of taking the safe road, and get the rolex, just my point of view?! best regards John |

what im trying to say is, that i cant get, that an Steel AP-watch could cost more then a solid-gold rolex-watch?! But, what am i to say, anything, when i have´nt found the beauty of the AP-watches? But, im ready to try something new, and an AP-watch - is the watch i have been looking for. But i will travel to the capital of sweden (stockholm), and look around for an AP-watch that makes me happy. I have a budget of maxium 25 000 euro, to shop until i drop. My thought is that i can get a new rolex daytona white/yellow gold, for that kind of money. My question to you Rolex-AP-fans out there. Do you think that i will take a chanse, and come home whith an AP-watch on my wrist... or will i go whith the safe card, and choose the rolex?! please give me some good feedback! If you have experience the same thing, that im going true?! best regards John |
