Ladies Rolex Yachtmaster at 40% off. Need Advice

So the AD near me has a ladies yachtmaster (169622? I think) that he has had for two years and just wants to get rid of. So he is selling it for just under $6,800, all in. Not sure what to do. I am about to buy myself a 114060 but feel tempted to snatch up this great deal while I can.

I guess what I am asking is do I buy myself a watch or do I buy my wife a watch? What would you do?

Keep in mind that I know some people here can afford to buy both, I am not in that boat.

Offer him 6k. Most likely it's a V serial anyways. It's still 40 percent off last years prices.

A) does your wife even want a new Rolex?
B) if yes, is the YM what she'd want?

I guarantee the AD is not just "getting rid of" this watch. He paid 60% of retail two yrs ago. I think there were incentives as well. So he's making what, at least 20% profit? I've seen some 169622 listed between $4k-$5k by TRF sellers. If she really wants one, get her a nice used one and use the savings towards your 114060. Don't fall for the "bargain" pitch.

This is the watch she loved. I will wait until I see one pop up then. I was ready to drop the cash but instead I will drop the cash on mine. Thanks for the advice.
