Great experience at Panerai Beverly Hills

I was in there today and the sales rep. showed me something they had just received in a shipment.

It was the Firenze. Limited edition of 100 pieces. I held it, tried it on, tried to take it all in.

The dial was like the 104 j, but was a beautiful shade of deep blue. Polished SS bezel, deep blue alligator strap, matching the dial. It sparkled with a soft light. Absolutely stunning. The price was $5,600.-

I was sorely tempted, and really wanted it, but could not let myself pull the trigger, as my watch budget is used up for at least 6 months.

Wish I could post a photo, maybe it will be on their website... Cheers, Larry.

Mate this time next year that watch will be worth more than $5,600. Retail on a standard 104 is $5,100.

This is a bargain IMO.

$5600 is dirt cheap for this panny.

Once they send that done to Aust or NZ, its going to be like double the price.

I think this is the one that has the italy boutique engraved on the back. If it is, you MUST BUY IT NOW AND POST PICS.

Im in NZ side of the world, if my AD here said i could have that for $5600 US Dollars, i would buy it right now!

Man i wish i lived near Bev Hills Boutique

Update - I called Officine Panerai at 10 AM sharp, when they opened, and asked if the watch was still available. They said yes. I went right over there and put it on my Amex card, and walked out of the store with that beauty!

Sorry, am not pic ready yet. But the watch is EXACTLY as it appears in the above photo. The dial has a beautiful sheen, the watch sparkles like a star.

For those who enquired in pm's, unfortunately they do not ship abroad. They told me that they get in about one limited edition each month. For those really interested in the Pannie limited editions, here is the # to call: (310) 228-1515. Fax is (310) 228-1520. It could be worth a quick trip to L.A. when something really special becomes available.

I accidentally deleted an e- mail from this P.M. Pl.send again... Cheers, Larry.

Guys, Sorry to let you down like this, but I'm not yet pic-capable. The pic that Miner posted is exactly the watch, the only thing different is that mine comes with a blue alligator strap... Cheers, Larry.

That is a GREAT looking watch.
Now you need a couple of straps to change it up. Nothing wrong with the way it is, but they really take on new looks with a change in straps.
That deep blue strap will lighten up a bit & look killer.
A black calf would make it a bit more casual.
Enjoy

Ronnie - I am somewhat red-faced that I am not pic- capable yet. It is one of the things I want to do, and have just not taken the action necessary.

The pic shown above from 11/1 is exactly how it looks. Cheers, Larry.

Icon14 What A Watch !

What a beauty.

For 2008.............a Pam is on my list, not a limited edition though, I don't think, although for the price, US $5,600 for a limited edition you can't go wrong with that. I am surprised that you could find such a price in BEV HILLS !

ENJOY AND CONSERVE.

Someone here on the forums wrote that the only two watches that either retain or go up in value are ROLEX + PAM, does anyone else share that?

Thanks.

Thanks Guys - I feel lucky to have this watch. The problem is when to wear it, and how often to wear it. It seems a waste to turn it into a safe queen. I'm thinking that having it on occasionally with a long sleeve shirt to protect it would be the way to go.

Re- the watches that appreciate in value, definitely Rolex and Panerai, but also Patek and some of the limited editions from IWC, i.e. the Cousteau divers. There must be others besides these... Cheers, Larry.

That is one heck of a catch IMO. I'd go for wearing it!

Panerai's definitly increase in value.

I got my PAM111H for $3,550 (wearing it today ). Today it reatils for $4,600 and I saw it on sale from a grey dealers for $5,200. I had no idea that it was in that high of demand. Kind of been out of the PAM loop lately as I've turned all my attention to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore.
