Current retail on LV and No Date Subs ?

An interesting (and unexpected) opportunity just came along, and I have a couple of questions, please.

First, what is current retail on the LV Sub and the No Date Sub ?

I've been thinking about possibly getting a No Date Sub to complement my Explorer I so this afternoon I stopped at my local AD to see what he had available. No NDs in the case but --surprise, surprise -- an LV Sub ! Turns out it was recently purchased for someone as a gift but the guy decided he couldn't live with the green bezel, so he asked the AD to sell it for him, which is AD is doing at a 10% discount. Which leads me to my second and third questions ...

The LV is tagged at $5000, but the AD is selling it for this guy at $4500. How is that as a price ? Fair ? Good ? Great ?

Also, I seem to recall that there are two "versions" of the LV -- the original "Anniversary Edition" that came out a couple of years ago, and the current version. How do I tell which version this one is -- although, based on what the AD's sales clerk told me, it sounds like this is the later version.

Thanks very much for all input.

MSRP of the 14060M is US $ 4,525
MSRP of the 16610LV is US $ 5,525

The price for the LV is very good, I'd say!

The "LV" has not changed since it came in 2003, apart from some having an "Oval O" in "ROLEX".

I paid $5,525 new in the box a week ago. The new M series has the CRB. Check the serial number, and look for the CRB. The watch has been made for about 4 years, so the one you are looking at can be any of these. Good luck!

Ah, yes, that is right! The CRB!

Here is a thread about the LV dials (you can also see examples of the "Oval O" in that thread):

I personally love the classic ND sub. but that seems to be a nice deal on the LV. You don't see the LV selling for under $4,800 that often, it you really like it, now might be your time brother.

Go for the LV. Assuming all is well that's a nice price.

Not all M series LV have the CRB. My M series purchased back in September does not have the CRB. I believe I read recently of some Z series LV having the CRB.

The CRB seems to be hit or miss right now, atleast for Subs. Some have it, some don't.

That is a great price on the LV if it's BNIB and a Z or M series. It's actually a pretty good price if it's a pre-own one as well. Could you find out what series it is?
