Sub Homage watch?

Saw an old post about homage watches, but not really sure what the point is. Bringing it up because noticed a guy wearing what I thought was a sub and he made a comment on my watch. I returned the comment on what I thought was a sub.

Said it was a Sub military homage watch. Not really sure.

The Sub has been copied many times over. Could have been an Invicta for example.

Probably a Steinheart. I like all watches in general but some Steinharts definitely took a page out of Rolex's design book.

Looked similar to the Steinhart, but the dial was plain and not writing on it.

That'd be possibly a MK II

Oh wait, these have writing on the dial, nevermind

Lots around, the sub style is probably the most copied watch. You can get so called "sterile" sub homages without any markings. But of course you don't get the rolex quality.

Amazing how some manufacturers get away with making watches that replicate the Sub so much I mean I've seen plenty of homage watches before but I've always wondered how they can look so similar and yet not have any copyright issues... I guess they're not using the "Rolex" name on the watch so they're not really doing anything wrong, but still...

Ginault makes a sub homage with a sterile dial.
