16753 Bezel Material

Are the bezels of 16753's hallmarked???

I have read a discussion that states that prior to 1984 all bezels were 14k--and from 1984 onward all the bezels were 18k--does anyone know if that is a fact or just conjecture.

I have a 16753 with a 1982 serial number- i know was purchased new in 84 and has not been modified; it's original bracelet is marked 62523-H18 I assume the bezel is the same--I've had the bezel off but could not locate a hallmark

anyone know for sure??
