So they are hard to get for a customer who wants to spend money. It just takes an AD who is actually willing to sell the product he is an authorized dealer for.

I bought mine at an AD in London. I was initially given the 7 year waiting list spiel but I quite firmly said to the manager that I was buying an SS Daytona TODAY and I didn't care whether it was going to be from them or from a grey dealer with a premium. A few minutes later he brought out the daytona I wanted and it was mine Now obviously that isn't a guaranteed way of getting one but it was my experience and I would imagine that once he saw I was a serious buyer not looking to purchase through 0% financing or anything he was more inclined to bring out the daytona from the safe |

there's a plethora of them here in AD's in Singapore. Saw a black face SS in an AD just last week on Sentosa.

never seen one in a Dallas or Fort Worth AD before. Most of the time the AD laughs when you ask if they have one.

Yes but you could also consider that 99 of 100 people (and it's probably a lower percentage than that) that ask have no intention of buying one. Pull out $12k at many ADs and you will be surprised what shows up. One particular AD I talked to said he started keeping them in the back because it's always the watch that people want to try on. When a watch is tried on 10x a day for month it's bound to get a scratch. Even with all the sticker he's had 2 refusals to buy because of very small hairline scratches.

Took my father a while. Think 2 years to get. Found in an AD while at a wedding in DC. Very random

None of the ADs have a SS Daytona in the showcase ever. Only place I see them for sale is on the boards and Ebay.

They are everywhere. I remember when I bought mine 10 years ago. I saw maybe 1-2 a year on the street. I have seen 6-7 already this month. Bottom line. Not rare. Best fitting Rolex in my opinion! I have a 18k yellow, white mop dial on a strap now too. This watch is 10 x harded to find than an SS.

hey
It seems like a lot comes down to regional variation and local business practices.
In Vancouver, its pretty easy to find an ss Daytona. The three ADs in downtown have them in the display cases. I heard a rumor that Rolex ads are not supposed to display ssh Daytona and green/anniversary models in the showcases though. |

Its usually available at the AD's here in India. When I bought my SS Daytone (Black) a few months back, I saw it both the white and black dials at 2 different AD's and also spoke to another AD in Mumbai and he had both in stock too.

Got a call from the AD here that he just got in a black dial one. From what I know of them around here is that they are usually in the back and not in the showcase. Heading out there tomorrow to check it out.

If you have the cash, it is rather easy to find...

There are a few for sale in PA. I know they have been for sale for a while now. These Rolex dealer games are getting old with the artificial supply and demand sales techniques.

It's the only pic I had on file...Regardless, they're all over the place here. Definitely not hard to find. I bought a 114060 at a boutique yesterday and tried one on.

There are 100's of grey Daytonas here in NYC. Many of them never worn with the plastic still on. Finding one BNIB from an AD is the debate |

Do you realize how many AD there are in HK? There's no debate, they're available.

Maybe someone who's been, and has only checked out the most popular tourist shopping area? I live in the "suburbs" and have 3 AD within a 4 block radius of my flat, bud. No exaggeration at all... there's watch shops, and particularly Rolex, everywhere
Edit....Sorry, that's 4...forgot one at the new mall.
