There is a YouTube video where Rick shows how to 'spot a fake Rolex'.

One of his big clues is that the date needs to Jump Off the Dial under the cyclops - so true for so many years, but not anymore....

I like when he says something to the effect of 'if I spot so much as one imperfection I don't buy it, because no Rolex leaves the factory with any imperfection whatsoever' or the like.

My parents went a few months ago and they met Mark the museum guy and old man. They said the place is so small and most of the merchandise was pawn star items.

If you want to go to check out the place featured on tv (and wait in a very long line) then go for it. If you want to find a good deal on a Rolex, stay away!

My brother saw a tv interview last year with big hoss. He said hes accidentally purchased at least 15 fake Rolex. Definitely know how to spot a fake before you go there.

Way overpriced. A 15 year old sub date in so so condition was in the $7,000 range. Even with negotiating, the price would be way over TRF prices.

As far as the shop itself, it is much smaller than what appears on TV. It was also very crowded, with half the shop devoted to T shirts and other tourist stuff.

I undrstand that most of the stuff that they buy on TV are already spoken for by select buyers.

I think any brick and mortal shop will def price their items higher then what you can get in forums.

I know someone who went to their store. He wanted to buy a ring for his wife. I have no idea what the ring was worth, but the asking price was $800. He ended up buying it for $200.
