Rolex Seadweller
Just seen a brand new Seadweller in an ex Rolex shop in Italy for sale for 4100 euros (approx£3270) discounted from 5300 euros (old price????). There are quite a few discounted Rolex offered for sale and I take it they're old stock. The shop ceased to be a Rolex agent about three years ago. I will have to check if its a double or treble six model, but I'm not sure when they changed.
The question is, is it worth a punt at that price to sell on? Opinions appreciated. Thanks ob |

Are you sure it's brand new? If my math is correct that is equivalent to about 5200 USD? That would be an absolute steal for a brand new Sea Dweller. What serial is it? |

An excellent deal if its BNIB. Mint condition used models are usually listed for around USD$6,000 up.

Wow. The equivalent of a barn-find vintage car! My friend recently went on a Med Cruise and found the watch prices in Italy to be amongst the best in Europe. Just be sure you can Authenticate because once its out the door then I wish you good luck trying to rectify any negative surprises. Fantastic find if all is in order though.

Thanks for your replies guys, confirming what I suspected. I'll go and take a second look armed with year serial numbers etc and check if it's new.
Does anyone know what the UK list price is presently for a 666? Thanks again ob |

Well...... WiFi in the hotel went tits up for 24 hours and so I didn't get to look on here for advice etc and that delayed me. Went to the shop yesterday am early (Riva Lake Garda) and they'd discovered their error and the watch is now 8K+ euros. I'm a bit miffed at missing the opportunity, common sense alone should have told me that a brand new Seadweller at the price I paid for my ceramic GMTII years ago must be a steal. Ah well, the one that got away. I'll just go and put my hair shirt on and flagellate myself with birch twigs for a couple of hours.
Thanks for all your input, much appreciated. ob |
