After flying back home last night from work at airports in Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota I drove to Columbus, Ohio for more repairs. Only a half day though and meeting my wife & her family at The Great Wolf Lodge resort for the weekend.

Me, I'm still dreaming of some Godiva chocolates!
Aw, Carolina, I knew I needed a smilie there at the end - I was trying to be funny. Any job I had before kids was way easier - and paid better, too. You know all about that!

Speaking of the Godiva, well, can't you nosh on a box whilst lounging on the sofa and sipping coffee? You're a full time mom, too, you know!

Moms are the BEST!

...and to stay on topic, I'm taking my 4 yr. old to a hockey game tonight.
Jason, you dads are pretty valuable, too. Just ask any kid. My 3 go bonkers over theirs.

Lisa I take my hat off to you, the toughest job in the world

A couple of years ago my wife went to Europe on a holiday that she had waited 10 years for. Guess what she did in those 10 years ... 3 beautiful children Anyway I'm in charge , here's a couple of emails that went out while I was in perfect control (BTW Doug is 18 months, The girls are 9 and 7) Here we go...

Doug’s really grumpy today and drooling all over the place, he either has rabies or he's got more teeth coming through. Both sets of symptoms are similar according to the book, although he can't tell me whether he has a bad headache and severe stomach cramps so I am not sure about rabies. We'll have to wait and see if he starts biting people and howling at the moon then I'll know for sure.....

So, as you can see, I had everything under control. Here’s another extract:

Doug's just come up from down stairs, shirt front soaking, He is
wondering around with the plastic bucket (that used to contain the Brio) on his head. Before he put the bucket on his head he managed to spread the Brio evenly all over the playroom. He is now downstairs where the girls are trying to get the bucket off his head so they can wipe his mouth. They need to wipe his mouth because before he did the Brio, he spread half a chocolate biscuit around his face. We think he ate the other half but I'll probably find it tomorrow. I don't quite know how many bottles etc we have. Consequently I keep finding stuff that Doug has hidden away. Found a milk bottle the other night that had a strain of fungus growing on it that would cure illnesses they haven't discovered yet.

And so it went on..

One day I'll write a book

JJ, if I'm ever in New Zealand, your family can bring the biryani, and we'll bring the Eastern North Carolina Barbeque and hush puppies!
