Wasn't a straight trade. I came out on top as the exp II is more $$$.

with the extra cash, maybe considering pimping it out with the other two bezels and super jubilee for the ultimate 6-in-1 combo.

Sandro you are going non-linear! First the AP Panda a week or so ago and now a Pepsi. I'm in awe (and envy) ;-)

Congrats Sandro on the Pepsi. I have owned multiple old style GMT's and I always enjoyed them. With that said, I love the new Explorer II's so much, I could never go back to a non maxi dialed watch.

I just want to point out that this all comes down to sizing of the bracelet. Yours was not sized correctly, which caused it to ride down to far on your wrist. No way should a twin lock crown dig into your wrist unless the bracelet is not sized correctly.

The new Explorer II's allow for more adjustments than the older models so in theory, you should get a better fit compared to the old style Rolex sport watches.

I always found my old GMT's very comfortable, they are very light and thin. The old style twin lock crowns are smaller than any watch I have ever owned, heck, my wife wears watches with larger crowns to be honest. Hopefully your new GMT gives you the comfort you are looking for.

Thanks Bill. It's a constant battle trying to find a good balance with the collection. I'm getting there. :)

It was sized exactly the same as my sub and daytona. But at the end of the day I think at 42mm the explorer becomes too top heavy and not in proportion to the rest of the watch similar to the DSSD so I'm told. I have an AP Panda which is the same size if not bigger, and it fits really well. I guess it boils down to preference and wrist size and comfort. :)

Great choice! Congrats on the Pepsi. I'm not a fan of the 42mm Explorer 2 either but that GMT-II is a classic!

It appears I'm not a fan of any of the new cases. Tried two, traded two. Older case is here to stay for me.
