Bad day

Came home to find the front door of my house open. Not sure what was going on, walked in, looked around, finally hit me, someone broke in. Quickly looked around while calling the police. Computer missing, Kindles missing then I saw the drawer with my watch box open. Gone, two tone blue Sub-c, white Datejust II and my Seiko diver. Been meaning to get a safe and or additional homeowners coverage, shoulda, coulda, woulda! Fortunately I had my GMT IIc on my wrist. Don't find yourself in my position, if you don't have additional insurance or a safe, get one, or at least put them somewhere difficult to find. I worked long and hard to get those, wish I put more effort into making sure they were safe. Don't end up like me, I feel terrible now but I'll get over it.
Thanks for reading my post.

Sorry man...that REALLY sucks!

Wouldn't they be covered under your normal home-owner's insurance? Like if they stole your couch, refrigerator, and stove. My assumption (probably incorrectly) is they'd be covered. I didn't think you had to have every little thing individually covered.

I hope I'm right.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I had a friend that got home invaded at 9am on a Wednesday. It was his day off and he was in bed with his wife. The douche didn't even care that someone was home. Went though all there stuff and when my friend came running downstairs screaming he stood there with a can of bear spray and used it on him. While my friend was on the floor he just walked over, and stood over him and hit him again with the spray. His wife locked herself in the room, luckily the jerk just picked up the bag and ran off after that and didn't try to kick the bedroom door in.

Indeed, the most important part of the story is that everybody is safe. I'm still really sorry to read about that though...

Call and check your local pawn shops daily. Alert them to be on the lookout also. Even in surrounding cities. Check eBay for them if you still know the serial numbers. Especially if the same seller pops up selling your exact 2 watches. Very sorry to hear. Hope they catch them

Also make sure no spare keys from the house were taken, garage door opener (so they could return again) Any chance they got your credit cards, debit card, driver license or anything like that? Cancel all credit and debit cards if you think they may have that info.

Be sure to contact Rolex so they can add your serial numbers to their database f stolen watches. They may require a police report. I am not sure how to proceed but I am sure a local AD may be able to advise you. Glad you are ok. And at least still have the GMT. I'll bet it was someone that knows you have Rolex watches stored at home.
