15300/15400 or 5167
I have finally lock down on these as my next purchase. Which would be the better choice. Would love to hear your thoughts on the pros and cons of these pieces. TIA.

Can't go wrong either way. 15300 is a little more versitile in the sense that it can be worn as an elegent dress watch or a sporty casual watch. 5167 doesnt have quite the same range. Plus, deal breaker is that i already have a Patek and wanted to add an AP to the collection.

He just might Alex.
If so I would say he will get more recomendations for the AP here, and more for the Patek in the Patek forum. Either way I still say he can't go wrong as long as he compares the three both merits and cons (if there are any cons) and in the end chooses the one that he likes the best.

Depends what your collection looks like. Definitely try them both on. The 5167 is actually the most comfortable of my 3-watch collection. I love the AP as well though...
Good luck! |

Sorry for the double post on the patek forum. I havent tried a 5167 nor a 15300 but have tried a 15400. All though the patek ad here is willing to make a 5167 order, if im purchasing it. Have seen a 5167 in the wild and it look gorgeous. Between the 15300 and 15400, the 15300 looked well balanced. Heres a few pics me trying the 15400.

Both AP and PP are fine actually. But prefer nautilus over aquanut. So I will pick 15300/15400 over 5167. I think you will have to ask whether you prefer wearing a very slim rubber strap watch or RO which is bracelet which has more wrist presence.

This is a tough nut indeed!
The Aquanaut is a very, very nice watch. It's very subtle and doesn't make a big fuzz out of it self in any way. Ultimately it comes down to which ones gives you the best feeling. The Aquanaut is a Patek and that will be a very important factor for many (I find myself being one of them every now and then). I really do like the idea of a Patek, but I haven't come around to commiting to one yet. You won't go wrong either way, but if you're buying brand new the Patek will hold it's value the best based off MSRP of the three. If you're able to negotiate a good deal on the AP this advantage will become smaller. |

I like Patek, as do we all, but the 15300 was definitely higher on my list and I bought it last year. Love it. Have been looking at Pateks since, I like the 5711, but don't feel the internal drive to pull the trigger as I did with the 15300. It is a really nice watch, but is it really worth all that money? In fact I bypassed the Patek for now and bought a white faced SS Daytona a few weeks ago.

Where to get a new AP 15300?
Hi guys,
My local AD does not have the AP 15300 in stock anymore. Does anyone know where I can get a new AP 15300 with black dial? I have friends in the US who can help to purchase for me. Thanks! |
