My Persian rug is much bigger that your watch, however I would not give the keys to somebody and leave the house.
You're presumptuous:
The watch was in the bureau behind a closed door in the bedroom.
It was not exposed.
Thieves are stealthy.
I didn't leave the house.
But your Tourbillon must be more precious.

By the way it is a PLAIN steel Rolex.
It can't fly, or do Geometry.

Glad to hear that youre getting it back! these types of stories rarely have happy endings. Being stolen from your home, you have a limited number of suspects though so thats helpful

okay, the most important thing of all is that you've got back the watch.

my conclusions were made on the base of your previous descriptions and that photo with the date.

By the way, I'm not into watch collecting so I don't own a tourbillon.

I still think however, that such small things should be kept in a strongbox when not on the wrist.
As I pointed out, my Persian carpets are very big and I keep them under control.

Back in the groove.
Thanks for all the support.
I had myself talked into the idea that I could live
without it / forget the unfortunate circumstance.
Then I saw a fellow with a like Daytona on his person and the loss was exacerbated.
Amazing outcome, know?

I had the carpet cleaned in my house recently. Everything of value was secured in the safes. I was home but you really can't stand over their shoulders.
