Need help identifying if this is authentic
A gentleman around my office is selling a Tudor military watch that was given to him. It has a numeric inscription in the back. The weird thing about this watch however is that it has the Mercedes type hand but the dial is the snowflake dial. I can't seem to find another example like it anywhere on the Internet. Makes me wonder if this is a fake. So I'm turning to the experts in hopes that somebody can give me a hand with this.

Well, the hands could have been changed incorrectly. Also, what makes you think it's a "military" Sub? Numbers on the back can be added, and in fact, there are tons of fake military Subs out there with numbers on the case back, although those are usually Rolexes, not Tudors.

Hi there, thanks for the reply. I believe that this is an authentic military watch because my contact was given the watch by the wife of the person who originally owned it and he was issued the watch in the military....
I do know that the watch went in for service a couple of years ago which is when perhaps they did change the hands. I'm going to locate a service center that perhaps can verify the authenticity. |

If it was a genuine military watch it would be marked on the dial or on case back

Yes, the back of the case has a number inscribed into the center of it.

741016 is the number. Case by Rolex original Geneva

it looks genuine but may not be unmolested. gotta open it and check pix for hands and such... dan could probably tell what day it was made... lol

If you hear loud ticking from your watch this Rolex is a definite fake. Rolex watches do not make the ticking noises common with other watches.
