New watch what should I get with it?

Hi Folks new member here

Got myself a new Yachtmaster gold and stainless, white dial (D serial number so sat about for a bit) yesterday.

Got my waranty, green wallet, calender, green box.

Should I have got some kind of manual with it?

Yes, two booklets....one general Rolex booklet and the YM booklet.

You should also get the RED seal chronometer hang tag and a green one called SWIMPRUF.

And, of course, a dash of cleavage would be a bonus!!

Hi JJ thanks for the prompt reply.

I got the round red swiss chronometer tag and a green oblong one with the price and serial number and a bar code.

The only booklet thing is a green paper one that is a translation booklet about 70x100mm.

I was hoping for a big glossy book telling me all about the watch how to screw down the winder to avoid water ingress what to use the rotating bezel for etc etc. Or do Rolex think we all know enough about them and dont need telling haha.

As for clevage, well I did something right as I get my first service free!!!!

Aside from the mandatory translation booklet (which only concerns the chronometer rating, etc. of the watch), you should have got TWO small booklets - one general and one on the YM itself.

Go back to your AD and insist on them.....then look at her cleavage and say: "Booklets or bust!!!"

And some members (who shall go nameless, but whose initials are JJ Irani ) are more attuned to sheep than Poshbirds. Now if you had called yourself Poshewe, he would have known immediately what your gender is.

But stick around and join the fun here. And do show some pics of that beauty (the watch, too ).

Welcome to TRF!

Congrats on the Yacht-Master! Very nice Rolex, indeed!

The full package should contain:
  • Outer cardboard sleeve
  • Outer box (beige cardboard)
  • Inner box (green with plastic wavy lines on the lid)
  • The Yacht-Master watch
  • Suede cloth cover for the watch
  • Hangtag, green with serial number on it
  • Old-style paper COSC certificate when it is a D-series.
  • Booklet "Your Rolex Oyster" + "The Yacht-Master" booklet. Some countries: Also a holder for the booklets, but not in Denmark for instance
  • Booklet: "Translation" (the COSC specs in various languages)
  • Some countries: Rolex polishing cloth (not in Denmark)

Here is the Yacht-Master booklet, btw.:
