Can I get any face I want ?

Good morning everyone,

To complete (for now) my collection.. I would like a Day Date with the little diamonds for the hour markers. However, I am not crazy about the face colors I see in the catalog at the AD.

Is it possible to order (I can wait) exactly what I want ?

I want the same light blue which you can find in the platinum model but on a gold day date. If not that light blue... then a dark blue. The AD says it cant be done... I am not sure I believe him.

Tks

Hi, there are specific dials that Rolex offers for every model. Those are your choices. So, you have to work within those parameters. As long as the catalog is current, you know the range of what's possible to get.

you'll be limited to the option of dials that is only exclusive for that specific series.

I know what you mean though, I'd love a dark indigo jubilee with pt diamond markers on a president II pt :/

i was limited to the glacier jubilee which I'm not too happy with

All this being said, you could always go after market and open up a much larger range of options. This means that when the watch is serviced the SC may not want to service it, or require you to purchase a new dial at time of service. It's your watch once you purchase it, so don't assume you don't have options. Just know how it will affect the watch and service in the future.

It will take some creativity on your part and a willing watchmaker.

Get the YG President in any dial available. The begin your quest for an ice blue dial. I see a dial swap in your future.

Keep the old dial and put it back on before sending it for regular servicing.

Just remember the markers will be in white vs. yellow on the dial that they want, assuming they want an original dial.

Thanks for all your great input as usual. I dont mind having a Sub, DSSD, Hulk.. Like lots of great folks out there. But when I am dropping 35k.. I want something more "unique".

Have a great weekend.

Yes, exactly like this. Initially I was going to go for gold face.. Then I saw a WRUW pic with this model and a white face which I thought was super classy. Then..I had an itch for a light blue face. I love this watch
