Looking for a dial

Hello everyone, i'm new to this forum but not new to Rolex. I'm looking to replace the dial on one of my Rolexs that i'm going to give to my g/f. I know that by replacing the dial, it harms the value but i don't mind that. The one that it has it kinda faded as it is like 40 yrs old or so. Can you guys lead me to where i can find authentic dials for a oyster perpetual at a good price. Would like a mother of pearl, silver, light pink. Used would even be better. Thanks in advance.

Any Rolex Service Center can help you with that.
If it hasn't been serviced in a while, might as well do that too before giving it to your gf?

Rolex will not change your dial because it is an explorer 1 with all but one dial choice available.. The one that's on there now. Rolex will change a dial if they offer other dials for that specific model,,

If it was an Explorer of that era it would say so on the dial.

This appears to be a regular OP

The OP started as 34mm and now is 36mm - here are some of the current dial choices. Yours is an older model, but the 20mm lug width means it is 36mm. The older 34mm had 19mm width lugs.

eBay or here on TRF (in the Parts classifieds) are 2 sources for dials. Some people think the Pink Roman is an ideal choice for a lady's watch.

There are some guys here, like "greekbum" who have lots of spare dials - maybe PM some of them?

I don't know if it's an Explorer or regular no-date OP. I jsut want to change the dial as i'm giving it to my g/f. I don't care if it loses the value as we're never going to flip it. Also i'm not going to wear it as it's kinda to small for me and i always wear my Yacht or Sub. Again does anyone know where i can get a dial for this watch. Like i said in my first post looking for mother of pearl, silver, light pink (really want this one). Thanks

Thanks for the lead

I came to find out that the watch has a marking that reads 6610. After some research online it comes back as a vintage 1957 Explorer. I'm also learning that these watch have some sides that are polish and brushed. Would anyone know what gets polished and what doesn't ? I have decided to refurbish the dial to it's original way. I'm dropping it off tomorrow at a certified Rolex service center but would like to know what gets polished and what goes brushed. Thanks again

If your dropping it at an RSC, I wouldn't worry as they'll know exactly how to polish it as when new.
